Premise
Ayurveda is today known as the ancestral Indian medicine and seems to be booming in this 21st century. A brand new interest for a millennial knowledge. Why this enthusiasm ? Perhaps, for the unparalleled promise that Ayurveda holds in terms of well-being, quality of life and overall health. A promise from elsewhere, whether we know it or not, as long as it provides a door that is not yet pushed open and full of hope for us, Western citizens living under a long-standing pressure and whose meaning we may be beginning to question.
This rise resonates as a by-product of a Western society whose DNA is at the antipodes of that which has given Ayurveda to the world and which is precisely this elsewhere dreamed : India. In these eastern regions, the way of life of men and women are bordered by many other cultural references and frameworks than ours. In India, we grow up on a land that has been consecrated for millennia to the search for the Spirit in each human being and the place of each person in Nature, as well as plants, animals and minerals. This is, despite the changes related to modern times, still today, a reality of every day in this part of the World. India, and more broadly the Orient, has been the most prolific part of the World to produce Illuminated Masters, who have transmitted this ultimate Truth : that of the Unity of Man to the great cosmic whole.
Ayurveda is, one might say, “born” where one was ready to receive and make place for its fundamental revelations. Gratitude to its Wise men, meditators, who, through their patient and profound observation, have translated the language of all that surrounds us. A gift to Humanity.
